Richard Apgar

Richard Apgar received his B.A. in German Studies from Davidson College in 1997. In 2001, he began his graduate studies in Germanic Languages and Literatures at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which he completed with a Ph.D. in 2008.

Reinhard K. Zachau

Reinhard K. Zachau studied at the University of Hamburg and the University of Pittsburgh, has taught at the University of Kiel and the University of Pittsburgh, and is currently professor of German and chair of the film studies program. He is a member of the Consortium for German, which has offered annual German immersion programs in Sewanee since 1994.
